Burney Falls Park
Burney Falls Park has much to do inside the park too. Lake Britton is a large reservoir lake that has fiords that go for miles into the forest valleys and is also home of Pit River and Hat Creek waters. Fishing and boating are big in this park and on Lake Britton. The park has many trails for short hikes and even a grave yard. And if you are into long hikes, biking, or horse back riding. They have stables and longest trails on west coast, the Pacific Crest Trail and The Great Shasta Rail Trail . Each of these trails go many miles both directions from the park. And we must speak to ATVing. Literally hundreds of miles of forest trails. Be sure to check in with the Forest Service before adventuring out. You can be many miles into nowhere quickly here. Be prepared.
